TAMC LOCATOR INSTRUCTIONS

1. Tripler Army Medical Center is the pink multi-structure located on the mountainside above Moanalua Road (also known as Lunalilo Freeway # 78).

2. The East-bound off ramp (yellow line upper left to lower right) leads to Puuloa Road. Turn left onto Jarrett White Road and follow it to TAMC. Parking terraces and the Emergency Room will appear to your left as you drive counter-clockwise around TAMC. The mountain-side entrance will appear on your left as you continue to travel to the rear of the hospital.

3. It is more convenient to select the entrance nearest the wing in which you are training. The A-Wing main entrance (ocean-side of TAMC) will be most convenient for training anywhere in the A and C Wings. Use the D-Wing entrance (ocean-side of TAMC) for training in the D and B Wings. Use the G-Wing lobby entrance (mountain-side of TAMC) for training in the F, G and H Wings.

PARKING INFORMATION:

Students/Residents reporting for training at TAMC on their first day should park in the Oceanside lower parking lot, just beyond the grassy field, left lane, after entering the security station. You must report to the Medical Education Office for in-processing before starting your rotation. The clerkship coordinator will provide you with a map of the designated parking areas for trainees/staff members. PLEASE do not park at the entrances at the top level on the Oceanside or at the entrance on the Mountainside. A citation will be issued, if you park in a reserved, marked stall or restricted area without proper documentation.

CELL PHONE REGULATIONS:

Cell phone usage is not permitted when driving on a military installation, which includes Tripler Army Medical Center. DO NOT USE CELL PHONES WHILE DRIVING.

LOCATION OF MEDICAL EDUCATION OFFICE:

Enter at Oceanside lobby, pass the information desk and walk to the main elevator. Press button with ‘9’ for the 9^th Floor. When you leave the elevator, look down the hallway. Walk towards the mural of a beach scene on the wall. Take a right and walk to the end of the wall where you will see a short hallway with 5 offices. The clerkship coordinator is the second office on the left, Room 9A008A is above the door ledge and name plaque with Medical Education, Student Coordinator, Ms.Gladys Nakamura-DePorto outside the door.
